Coming into the Bentley series, it was clear that these next 8 games were going to be a measuring stick of where RIT stands in the Atlantic Hockey conference. It was pretty much agreed that if they went 4-4, then it would be obvious that they would be on the right track.

Things are a bit better than we could have imagined. After losing the first game of the stretch, they have won 5 in a row. They swept Holy Cross - the defending champions. That opened eyes in the conference. The Tigers were not through. They swept Mercyhurst. And they did it seemingly handily.

What does that mean for this season? Who knows. The goal was to win the regular season title. Can it happen? I believe.
